Hi Guys.

Just wondering, when you record in progdvb. What do you use to playback
the recording?? No matter if I just use 'file open' within ProgDVB
or change file to mpeg and play in Nero etc there always seems to be a lag
between video and audio after about 10 secs.
I've also tried *.avi (seems to be a bit better, just slighty out of sync)

Cheers

Personnally I've mostly been using my DVD player to view my recordings.
Since it has an ethernet connection I don't necessarily need to burn them to a disc either.
My sequence is something as:
- ProjectX
- MPeg2Schnitt
- Burn or Mux to MPG

You can find different guides related to DVB at doom9.org
under Guides -> TV-Capture

Have you tried using an older version of ProgDVB? I use 4.26.4 (available on the ProgDVB website)- using anything later than this makes mpgs that I have problems playing back on my Hauppauge MVP.

I find that whatever method I try to convert/burn whatever - they are all imperfect. And I think I've tried them all.

Play them back with PowerDVD. It's perfect, with no messing about.

I just burn the (under 2G:cool: files to an ISO DVD and play them straight off the disc as above.

If I want to watch them on telly, I transfer and then play them from my Dreambox, again no conversion.

Sound.
Thanks Guys.

I'll try all above.

Thinking of going down the dreambox route for the sitting room.Which will be fun, as satellite and ethernet cable run will be fun ;)
