Well, I got some of my cables in to my mnew house today, and dug the MSS300 out of a box and sat it out of the skylight, and almost instantly got a signal... :D

I picked the first unaltered channel on the box (formerly Sky News) and it came up with "DMAX" which was showing American Chopper (with German Dubbing), I fine tuned it a little and I took a couple of pics... :D

After the pics I tried the SL65, but my camera said "Memory Full" so there's no pics of that... :(

Anyway, Enjoy!!! :D

Just thought I'd add a little additional info, I had the porty dish's suction mount attatched to a spare floor tile (that I found in a boxful under one of the kitchen units!!!) which means I can put the dish straight back out on the ledge and not need to re-align the dish (well, maybe a little fine tuning!!!)... :D

I'm going to go for Astra2 tonight as I'm missing my digital TV, I haven't got my Freeview box in and set up yet... :(

You're right, I can't... :D

And I haven't a clue how to, or whether it can be motorized.... :confused

As for the porty dish, I got it up last night, then the heavens opened and it was chucking it down for an hour, so I just went to bed, I tried again this afternoon and it's working perfectly, so I have my sky box hooked up with one of my cards in it waiting for it to pick up the ol' wake up signal... :D

that dish you bought can be motorised with the andrews polar mount + actuator if you can still find them for sale as they stopped making them

or use a jaeger smr 1224 motor and bolt the dish to it

There's not much of a view for it where I'm going to put it for it to be motorised, so it's just going to be a manually moved dish... :D

My Porty's been up for a few hours each day to try and cath the "Keep alive" signal for my sky card, but it's not happening!!! I have sky tnrcc though, which I didn't before, but C4 & 5 are still hiding behind the "Please upgrade your subscription" rubbish.... :(

surprised there isn't a sky dish on the house as most landlords allow just them because of the size now

There may have been one up as I saw a sky contract envelope lying in the rubbish, but they may have taken the dish & cable and stuff, but I could be wrong... :)

But, after today's sitting in the open, I still have no C4 & 5... :(

And I have a puddle on the floor after it tipped it down with rain....

Well I gave up with the temporary skylight mount and stuck the porty dish up on the window next to the pit, so it's up a bit more permenantly now... :D

Here's a couple of pics, one from during the week and one from this afternoon...

EDIT: And yes, I do know the cap is missing from my lava lamp... :p
