My Satellite Setup
Need Help!
My Location
Harrogate, N Yorks
Dear All,

I have just bought a new property ( Top floor Flat ) and the developers will not allow me to have Sky +, as they do not want to be able to see a dish. This is despite the fact that they have not even bothered to put a regular TV aerial in or anything :-doh! . Basically I can't watch TV, or so they would hope. I have had a few engineers round, and one independant mentioned that as I have a small area of flat roof, he could use a new bracket / dish that mounts flat or straight onto the tiles. He also said that he would charge me £235 for the pleasure of putting it in.

And so I turn to the experts to help me in my dilema

Firstly does anyone know about this new "discreet" dish that he is referring to? How does it work / look? Is it my best bet?

Or can anyone else reccommend an alternative to this or even recommend some engineers in the Harrogate / North Yorkshire area who are good.

All ideas welcome and thanks for your help

Hi Ronin

What does the law say about TV? If ther eis no areal or dish can the landlord actually prevent you from watching TV??? Isn't this a basic human right!?!
Anyway, have you got a south facing window?

Have a look at w*w.wrightsaerials.tv They're based in Rotherham, but even if that is too far I'm sure you'll get some advice. Besides the web site is good for a laugh at all the anecdotes and rogues gallery pics ;)
