But not when it comes to motoring offences!
House robbed, crime number....
mugged, we'll make enquires....
yobs, no interest....
you get the picture, but!.... if it's a motoring offence... they're only to pleased to help!
What I'm referring to is that my mate who got a n.i.p through the door for speeding in sheffield, right vehicle, right reg!, he writes to the 'whoever' (plod/cps) telling them he hasn't been to sheffield for over a year and that no one else has access to his car, usual threats of violence from 'whoever' if he didn't spill the beans on who the driver was!...... anyway to cut it short, 2 local c.i.d called to take pictures of his car and get him to sign something (saying it wasn't him)!
this is for a speeding offence!.... if only the plod were as keen to catch real crim's:-rofl2

sounds like something that happened to a friend of mine he got a speeding ticket through and he hadn't done it and the police checked it up and it appeared somebody had copied his plates and put them on a similar car

Had the same - speeding in Birmingham.

Wasn't in Birmingham, called and they checked the picture on their computer. It was a different car - never heard any more about it.

Got to be worth a phone call.

It's o.k it's sorted now, they prolly came because it was the same car/colour the lot!, that said it's hardly the crime of the century to require such Police effort.... my point was that if it were not a motoring offence, would they have made such an effort?..... doubt it:mad:

same thing with my mate, caught speeding in Preston???

eh... he rang the number and said he'd not been anywhere near Preston? at first they where having none of it.. he said its a Silver Impreza yea?

the woman said errr no... it a white transit van lol

Now im not being funny but, we hear all about this brilliant technology at their finger tips and access to DVLA etc... you would have thought they would have known.

mind you its probably all sorted by computer and posted Automatically.

he never had to pay the fine anyway.
