Good stuff ......
When you have got the rail system up and you have had your fussy out of it, i want you to think about a modification to it for next year when the sun comes out again and think about digging a large pit in the lawn in the same place as the track wood and make the whole dish assembly lower down into the pit on something like a second hand car lift from a garage sale or summat. Then, to keep the better half happy, construct some fibre glass "rockery" panels to drag over the pit when the dish is not in use. We expect to see a new thread about this around April time ... piece of cake Blade.... do it.

:-lol I am already working on something but not to that extreme atm :D, I am wanting to be able to install it by myself, that means the king post needs to be on a hinge so it folds to the floor,

Made a start on making a movable wooden harbour to go over it :D also acts as a bird feed station :)

TBH I didn't realise I was trying to hide it, but I guess I am in a way, I am trying to make it blend in, guess that's hiding it :D,

Now ive retired I like spending time in the garden gives me something to do :), though I think the channel master 2.4 is a work of art, I would be sooner looking at something like this,

If I don't do the bits I am doing will regret it do it once and right

That is a really good dish mural, congratulations on how expertly you have broken up the rounded edges and masked the feedarms and LNB with little more than vivid shading of the pastels.

You all should know that the weight of this portable base is causing Earth quake swarms on my side of the pond.

This just in......

Scientists have detected a slight wobble in the Earths rotation, further investigation has found the epicenter to be somewhere in the UK.

Scientists are also worried about a shift in Atlantic tidal forces and a drop of several centimeters of the Atlantic Ocean levels on the East coast of North and South America.

It could very well be, but haven't been out to check on it as it's been raining like heck here, the lake has gone up over 38 feet since this storm started, but were not too worried as we have over 70 feet to go before it hits the spill way......OHHH....Wait, the sudden water rise could be due to that gravitational anomaly found in the UK.

You may need to tip the whole thing 0.000002 degrees to the East, that should level things down a bit.

blademedia,

What width and wall thickness of box section are you using for your frame? Also what diameter is the threaded rod, its going to support a lot of weight?
I am considering getting a metal "pallet mount" fabricated so the dimensions would be useful to me.

Thx
