I am trying to resurrect this old box of mine. After many years of sterling service,it has "died".Symptons being lots of white blobs of chewing-gum appearance on many of the components on the main power board. Before you ask,no,I wont bin it-its a museum piece now,and might be worth a fortune in working order!!. Thanks,Gary.:)

Hi Gary (It's been a while ...................)

Can you post up some pics as it might be as easy as getting a couple of Capacitors replaced.

And if you can't fix it/get it fixed, I have a working DS430N sitting idle which you can have for p&p.

Thanks, chaps!.I like the idea of just swapping the board as opposed to try soldering. My eyes are not too good now:(.Luckily,I've still got the pictures I took in April, wonder what the "gunge"is?...`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````.Gladly take your offer for the DS430N for a small fee,any chance I could pay directly into your bank acc?.I'm not into Paypal, etc.

Perhaps PM Zansi, he used to do exchange boards and may have a couple left.

Gary, if you end up wanting the DS430, just PM me and I'll send it and let you know how much p&p was. And yes, direct to my Bank would be fine. I guess were talking under 10 sovs.

Be interesting to see if you can rescue the Groundighog though.

It`s really the sticky stuff ( like blutak ) to hold all the electronics in place to stop movement of components.

But pleased you like mine!

The white stuff is adhesive to hold the components in place. They're a doddle to repair.
