To experts of this great Forum: Please help me to find the owner’s manual of the Decoder D9236. I already looked for in the Scientific Atlanta (*), in the Google and in other excellent places and countries, but, not yet I obtained nothing. I already put here other questions about this decoder. Therefore, I would be very happy case somebody could help me in this research.
Thank,O-no

(*)Being the Scientific Atlanta the only manufacturer of this equipment they have the manual said one, but, they not sell for particular person as well as me.

I would request moderator to name this thread PowerVu D9236 manual. As for last quite many months tried a lot to get info about this D9236, but, unable to get any satisfactory or upto the mark reply about this SA PowerVu D9236. Searched a lot of pages thru search engines, blogs, emails and other contacts but for this particular type of D9236 nothing is available. Surprisingly, whoever, has those sets dont take much interest to tell from the manuals and other experiences of themselves for the benifit of deprived hobbysts who do not have remote controls for D9236 or manuals or other informations about them. I request thru this forum, earnestly to come forward, if they are honest to the hobby and this forum, they must come forward to help other hobbysts. What they will loose, if others are somewhat benifited from their expertise or ownership of the literature copies.

You seem to forget - these are NOT the average satellite boxes most enthusiasts will ever own. They are tools for a specialised job and of no interest to 99.999% of people.

. And if you are hoping to find an active one authorised for some specific Powervu channels then the chances of that are virtually zero.

Google doesnt throw anything useful up so you are probably out of luck

I have already purchased SA PowerVu D 9236. But it did not come with the remote and nothing material like manual to get it out of the preset "0". I want to unlock it from "0" to other presets like 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 etc.
1) I want to know how many preset channels it has which can be pre-programmed with datas like different frequencies, different LNB frequencies. How it can come out of PowerVu mode to Non-PowerVu mode. Because Adventist like some christian channels use it in Non-PowerVu mode.
2) I also want to know why it could not be used for KU band tuning when we use dish having LNB of Universal type of 9750-11600 MHz type.
3) Please tell why is it difficult to get the Owner's Manual of D9236 ? The manuals for D9223, D9234, D9834, D9835 etc. etc. of SA are available. What are the secrets behind D9236 that we dont get enough information about it .

Please reply in full details point by point and oblige.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

I think it's been made quite clear in several other threads that PowerVu receivers are used by broadcasters or Cable headends, and that they are for professional use only. If you're after free-to-air channels, get yourself a receiver suited for that purpose rather than wasting your money on something you cannot use.
