Problem with matrix reloaded cam

I've recently purchased the followng:

Strong 4375 reciever with firmware v1.02 (released jan 24 2002)
Matrix reloaded cam
Titanium card
Cas 2 Interface programmer

1) obtained latest cas studio and driver software from duolabs website.
2) Installed software and drivers successfully
3) Ran software, clicked on magic and connected cam.
4) Followed instructions and installed mr ver 1.14
5) Wrote & verified successfully
6) Put cam into receiver (using guide http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/forum/showthread.php?t=9384)
7) Channels didn't clear, one or two came up with resolution values but displayed distorted image
8) Reprogrammed tried again but same thing
9) When entered manually and 'set default key' the data isn't saved on the cam

Has anyone experienced the same problems?

Does anybody think this maybe a problem with the cam?

Hope someone can help me because i'm tried reading and am getting no where.

you need to erase first before you write the new software to the cam
1 connect
2 erase
3 write the soft you want
no need to verify

hi,

Yeah i followed the instructions but you know when your ci modules initializing and the picture freezes and distorts, that's what happens on FTA channel before switchin to encrypted channel. Information h/w 1.5 s/w: Mr 1.140 and loader. Is that the newest loader for the mr?

Hope you guys don't mind the pics but thought it might help abit. Sat1 b pic is when the cams initializing and the picture distortion, freezes before going back to normal on a FTA channel. Sat2bs a pic of multivison with resolution showing but picture distorted ie no pictire and sat3b ...is what i get on zik, multivision etc....I swear i've read the guides and i've trying but has anyone else had the same problem or knows a solution.

im haveing no probs with the lastest Mr 1.140

sounds like its your receiver compatability prob not the Mr



try an earlier ver of software that might help your prob

cant help via your strong i dont use one i have no probs in my two receivers
might be good idea to go and look at the strong site

?..what ver was your MR before you loaded 1140

Well i didn't buy one preprogrammed (got from pulsat) the guy said it was compatable with strong etc and firmware so bear with me if i say anything but the answe lol, the cam initializes alright infortion says loaded 1.0 s/w 1.05 do you think it could be I need a software upgrade for the reciever?

in your cam menu in informaion it should read
H / W : 1.5
S / W : MR 1. 140. Thats what you said you loaded with cass. ?
Loader : 1.0

as for the ver of software for the strong ive no idea what that is or available

I had problems with my mr cam when i first bought it, turned out i needed to use a Xilinx repair file which someone kindly sent me. If i were you i would use the latest mr file 1.161 and the Xilinx repair file, use the wizard on cas 2 to program the cam. I have the Xilinx file , but dont know whether i can post it on here.
