I installed win2k on an old spare hard disk and put EXdvbXL,
This has given much better results, some encrypted channels are better than others but ok, I will try to improve my hardware in the near future and see if this makes any difference.

Richard use EZdvbxl instead of progdvb.

Its has more codecs for software mod and much better picture quality.

Also for drivers use my all in on thread post for much cutdown install ie save 11 meg of diskspace by not installing skystar software but just needed drivers.

Also its better as it doesn't use technotrend dll files but specially written ones called dvbcore.dll so no blocky pictures on thor.

Hi Big Ted & Rolf, Thanks again for your input! I'll try EZDVBxl, and post back my results. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Richard.

Big Ted, I've installed the latest EZDvbxl, but sorry to say the picture is still flaky on full screen, and on windows bigger than about 50% of the screen. Another thought, could it be that I have a flat panel LCD screen? I've got it running at 60Hz at present, it will go to 85........
Sincerely,
Richard.

Hi Big Ted, Yes I downloaded the plugin, and Hey Presto - big improvement! I now get a perfect picture up to around 75% of full screen. At full screen it's still flaky but I can live with that. I guess sitting 3 ft from my 15in computer LCD is like sitting about 6 - 8ft from a normal telly, so I ain't complaining. Many thanks for this very useful tip!
Sincerely,
Richard.

Before my system crashed DVB Viewer would not work but ProgDVB worked fine. After the rebuild DVB Viewer works fine but ProgDVB has the old chestnut "cannot find the card" problem

Any ideas?
