  • latest sof*cam k*y from mach1 (24.10.04)

You dont mention the Type of PC Mem size etc.
Progdvb is a CPU junkie and i have found the best thing to do to get stable picture and not freeze up PROGDVB or my internet connection is to Set the Priority to Real time and also if you have multicpu PC to assign it to specific CPU i usually use CPU1 rather than CPU0. Zone alarm and Norton being loaded dont help either.
Cheers

prob nothing to do with anything if that makes sense. (not that you'll ever find anyway)

i had the same problem a few months ago and never got to the bottom of it.

I just used altdvb or dvbdream instead, but then one day when i tried progdvb again and it worked fine...

I had ProgDVB and had difficulties then changed to DVBDream. DVBDream is the best to run with computers with slower speed and less memory.

Jaffer,
I have to agree that DVBdream is a better option. I have always been a fan of PROGDVB but the constant freezing and slow performance was a pain in the preverbial. PROGDVB also never handled K**sk very well on 1W . The only thing that I have noticed is that DVBdream occasionaly dies totally and for some reason i cant get it to work with on T*S or Mvision on 13E. Same programs that I used for Progdvb copied over and latest so**cam key but alas just black screen.
I take it there is no snapshot facility in DVDdream or is that in another Plugin?

Cheers

hello
I use all of the DVB programs you mention and have no problems with ProgDVB at all.Check your SS2 card drivers as they do also control your TCP connections and if set up wrong will cause problems.
Also you mention P2P filesharing, its a very good scource of strange virus problems and some virus do attempt to access your internet connections.
I dont think your problem has anything to do with your DVB program.
