Having compared CM 1.8m with the Laminas with almost no gain differences, I can vouch for it - it's a very, very good dish. If you're not going to be hanging LNB changers on it, there's little between them.

@Hakon nice to see you! Where were you so long time?! Welcome back!
For sure, Laminas 1.8m is nice antenna and it has durable polar-mount. Of course, 1.8m Laminas will perform same as 1.8m Channel Master. The minor difference in their performance can only be seen by professional measuring equipment and greatly depends on the proper LNB used.

Indeed - good to see you again, Håkon...
Was wondering multiple times how your dish park was doing.
Seems like the answer is "just fine"... :)

Did you ever convince the owner of the birch tree to cut a 1.8m hole for 28.2E?

This is my first visit for a long time.
I just wanted to update the Laminas 1800 dish and PM function.
It's been up and running since 2011 and no need for adjustment , still working flawless.
Still cathcing the arc perfect after several storms , i am impressed.
Very pleased with the Polar mount and the dish .
The only thing that has happend is that the feedhorn leaked water after a few years, but an easy fix.
The PM has not started to rust as i thought it should, no backlash at all.
Has this Laminas been worth the money ? Definitely.

A major cleaning will be done at this springtime , as it's most plastic it will be nice again.

Your nice install has rewarded you with problem free viewing, well done a lovely job.

Thanks for the welcome back.
Well as the satpark just works with no problems , they where forgotten
They where there , but in the same time they where not.
Maby that's a "problem" when you buy the good stuff and do it proper from the beginning.;)

The birch is still there , but the neigbourh offer to take it down but i said no need .
I think it's sad to take down trees. It's a tricky tree to cut down.
So as i have no other houseproject this year i will try to get the C-band working on the Lami 1,8.

Hakon returned four months ago, but hasn't been around since. It might all be working now.
