Pardon my ignorance on the Satellite matter, but all this is new to me.
Recently I've bought 2 FTA receivers.
They are: Zodiac DVR 700 FTA Plus (This one has no CI slots and the CPU is a 5518)
and: Silver crest SL 65/2 CI (As the name suggests it has 2 CI's)
I've been searching the web and found that there is a way to patch the software on FTA receivers to get some more channels.
Problem is that nobody mentions the above receivers.
I was wondering if there is a way to find if these are clones to some other popular receiver.
I've seen pictures and comments that lead me to believe that the Zodiac is either an Arion or a Metabox clone.
If patching these receivers is not an option, could any of you please point me in the right direction. My father has been bugging me to get him a way to watch the US news program "Fox News". Can I view it?
As a side note my two receivers are connected to 80 cm dishes. I hope they're big enough...
If I posted this in the wrong forum I appologize.
Thank you in advance,
ZX88
