My Location
38.5ºN, 0.5ºW
A bit of rain fade trouble today. That lot came down in about 15 minutes.

That's the worst it's been here in about 8 years. It was about an inch from coming in the house at it's worst so I'm going to take it as a warning and think about some extra drainage to divert it a bit.

I sympathise - we had flash floods here in my village four years ago and I found out about it whilst on holiday in Tuscany - saw familiar pictures on Sky News International.

Much fretting and panic, but when we got back we found ours was one of the few houses that hadn't been badly affected. One resident had to move out for six months whilst repairs and renovations were carried out.

Nature delivers some cruel twists - I hope you've suffered nothing in the way of damage that can't be solved with a mop and bucket and a spell of dry weather.
