Why do you think it is the wrong product ?
Because I bought what I saw in the Amazon page,
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Moteck-DIGIPOWER-2100-DiSEqC-Motor/dp/B0012RU6UO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1508234190&sr=1-1&keywords=Moteck+DIGIPOWER+SG+2100 A+DiSEqC+Motor

It is clear that they advertised as a Motech. I received one product that is not. Is similar but is not what they put on the advert.
I wrote a review and the TCM who sells from Marketplace, replied that it's an order sent by Amazon and there more sellers on one advertisement.
The point is they cannot do it. Look what they advertise.:(

Well, even "Digipower" is just branding.

This isn't an issue that would have bothered me in the slightest.

If it were me, I'd have imperceptibly shrugged my shoulders and then cracked on with fitting it.

But not with a 90 dish, on a chimney (especially in Shoreham)

If the o/p wants to get a 'genuine' motor Moteck do sell direct from the factory, but they come in a box/carton of six and I think the minimum order is in the region of 2400.

Oh, I agree about the chimney - That really is a problem.

I was referring to the fact that the item received would have satisfied me viz-a-viz what I thought I wanted.

Just a thought, copy the image below to file, stretch and enlarge to suit the perspective, print out on a bit of waterproof fabric and glue over the existing logo.

Voila

I wonder just how many different badgings there are, in all? Must be a dozen or more, at a guess.

Over the eight or so years these have been around, hundreds.

A pair of 12" T&K should do it.

Does the wall have a suitable southerly aspect?

I wonder whether Moteck produce their own castings for the motor body or do they subcontract this out to another factory who also produce them for other manufacturers who produce clones using less reliable internals (plastic gears instead of metal etc). A very common practice in SE Asia.

Are all these others "rebadged" or clones?

Moteck might not be the original manufacturer of course, Jaeger has been in the actuator business for quite some years and it would be strange if they were to badge another design.

Of course clones of all - successful - motors exist, and I think one of the US sites did a comparison of the original SG2100 against the 2100A and found the seals and the bearings were less substantial. I'll try to find it.
