Can anyone recommend a receiver that can to blind scan with USALS and high definition?
I’m currently a complete novice with satellite but am learning the hard way.
I had a 120cm dish with DisEqC 1.2 motor installed by a local firm.
First I got a PACE DS810XE then realized it didn’t do USALS.
Second I got a Topfield TF7700HSCI then realized it didn’t do blind scan.
I really want to be able to blind scan. It drove me mad just entering one satellite and one transponder into the Topfield. The latest firmware didn’t add much to its database.

The kind of box you want [ together with most of us] is still in development at moment, but there are rumours and counter rumours that one may be available later in the year, just keep your eyes and ears open and keep checking back with this forum.:)

Thanks for the advice. I've been googling for days and suspected that was the case.

I think the new Dreambox will be the way to go. Hopefully it will be out this year. I just got my hands on a Humax 2000 and it is pants compared to any Dreambox.

Fortec Passion HD has USALS, hdmi and, from the next firmware release (next week, hopefully), blind scan too

Fortec Passion looks good but I got to love the Dreambox for the software cams, the ethernet connection and the hard disk PVR.
