This all depends on what type of stream it is and a load of other complications. The most usable piece of software is ASF Recorder from http://sourceforge.net/projects/asfrecorder/ however getting the link to the stream in to it is the problem. It wont save as MP3 it will save it as the exact stream that it is being served in.

Hello D.

You could use Net Transport which also has a scheduler so you wouldn't have to worry abouit the ON/OFF side of things.

Afraid it will only copy the same format down to you HDD, but you could always convert with StreamBox Ripper.

If you want more details please come back again.

Regards

PS. If the programme is from BBC Radio, and is included in the Listen Again facility, you can download the stream at any time up to 7 days, then convert if if needs be. [Won't publish the proceedure here, but you can PM me if you want it]

What a great program, I'm a convert from ASF Recorder, which is useless in comparison.
