I have a fairly new 78cm triax dish with a 40mm collar, can anyone recommend a decent LNB to attach to it?

Pretty much any low noise LNB will provide good results, perhaps an MTi Blueline, Golden Interstar, or Invacom would be three good examples.:)

I have a 0.3db universal LNB (make Syntech, i think, will check when i go home), which only seems to "see" higher frequencies despite lots of twiddling at 19.2 and 28.2 degrees. I cannot pick up FTA on Sky, which i could previously. I can pick up plenty of German and French FTA channels, but can't find Hotbird at 13 degrees. It's ironic that my old 60cm fixed ex-sky dish with 0.6db LNB appears more sensitive than my new set-up!

Sounds like your current LNB may be faulty.

Rolf,

You may be right, i think the collar on the Triax is too tight for the Syntec 2000 LNB, is it possibly a poor plastic casing? I have replaced it temporarily with a Cambridge 0.6db LNB which appears to have a very slightly narrower casing and appears to work OK.

Many thanks for your advice

Dave:rolleyes:
