Anyone have any ideas/comments on this?

Using MyTheatre V2.76, I can record and replay any channel that I can view real-time except Ki*sk channels, which produce an .mpg file that WMP9 thinks is an audio file, and MT can't play (div by 0 error).

I've recorded Ki*osk streams before, so what's new?

:confused How does Macrovision work? Is it possible to encode digital satellite streams with it? I know CD are probably screwing around in blind panic at the moment, and I'd love to know what other people are experiencing...

Maybe it's just my setup, maybe a recent file corruption. I have a very stable system, but have found MT to be pretty flakey (although a hundred times better than ProgDV:cool:. MT knocks my box over a coupla times a day, requiring a warm restart, but I can't detect any damage other than the loss of all my MT user settings (capture-to locations etc).

No working fine for me BG, just tried it with the Jungle Book, must agree though about making the PC fall over, has recently started doing it again.

As a follow up for anyone reading this with similar problems, the files generated from K* channels are definately different to non K* but I can't physically see why. AVIcodec reports them similarly, but I've tested exhaustively with maybe 75 channels and it can't be a coincidence.

Was getting very narked, and ready to believe my own mother was an alien, until I tried installing PowerDVD V5.0, which is able to play these rogue files O.K.

WMP9 and MT still have the same problem, but hey, I get to watch my stuff again.

All, please let me know if you have a similar problem, as I hate not knowing and won't be happy until I resolve it.

Cheers!
