Hi M8's,
Could some of you knowledgeable people help me out.My remote has a few buttons that don't work i.e when I put telext on, the button to take it off is worn and the only way I can get it off is to turn the set off then back on. I've taken the remote apart and the rubber pads behind the numembers are worn. I could remedy the problem by sticking very small pieces of aluminium foil on the pads, but I wounder is there a special(paint)to redo the pads? I just hope my question makes sence.
Any help or advice appreciated.

Hi Jonney

There is a special paint used for repairing the heated rear window on a car that would probably work, but what I have done in the past is to carefully cut the carbon pads off an old unused remote and carefully glue them onto the worn remote with some decent glue. I hope this helps.

Pads are usually special conductive rubber - you could advertise for a (?non)working one and use the membrane etc from that - or go for a universal remote such as one for all and pension off the original!
