A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Ive got a customer going away for a month that wants to keep track of whats going on in his house.

Whilst he has a cleaner and someone to come in and walk the dogs each day, he would ideally like to have some ability to see into certain rooms day anytime he chooses. He would be carrying a reasonably modern laptop around whilst out of the country. Both this and the home PC are running WinXP.

Does anyone here know of a system that allows connection and remote switching of (for example ) four cameras in strategic areas, and associated hard disk recording facility, that can be installed in a day or so ?

Thanks in advance.

What is his broadband setup? He will need either a static IP or one of the DNS routing services. The Panasonic IP camera I have has its own service and works well, but if you want multi camera switching, then you probably would be better off with a Digital Video Recorder with Ethernet connectivity. :)
