Cos that's mostly genetic, and people seem to have a strong disliking for genetic engineering to get rid of faulty genes and replacing them with artificially enhanced ones to make super beings, like Kahn in Star Trek (TOS: Space Seed and STII: The Wrath of Kahn), might aswell play with computers instead, the only viruses they suffer from can be easily deleted... :D

Don't worry, the virus makers are working on making Linux users' lives a misery too, especially when windows becomes a thing of the past and nobody uses it any more cos M$ just can't be bothered to make it work decently... :-rofl2

If enough scientists got together and worked on something like cancer though, maybe research could move on much quicker. You often here on the radio etc about a group of scientists have been checking monkeys for the last 10 years and found they always sleep on their right on a full moon or something else equally trivial.

They are. Suffice to say that someone close to my heart who only a few months ago had a stark prognosis has benefitted to such an extent from novel therapy (Not yet adopted in the mainstream) that normal life has been resumed.

Could a computer work out why only morbidly obese people appear to be good at darts ?

No computer needed. Hardly a physical sport and they spend their lives with a pint in their spare hand.

But how on earth do they count backwards from 501 and work out all those "finishes"? They must at least have embedded Chips?
