I have the UpdateDVB tuning and analysis tool on an ArchLinux image. I'm using an RPi 3, but it should be OK on a 2.

There's little free space left on the image, so the root partition needed to be expanded.

More details and where the image can be downloaded soon (when I locate it again!) if anyone wants to try it.

Here's the image location (Google Drive) -

rpi_2-3_03-13.18.tar.bz2

Unpack the tarball, and burn the image on an SD. I used a 32GB, but 16GB will allow plenty of expansion.

Some relevant details to be posted later.

Some notes on this MATE Desktop image:

You'll see some icons on the desktop. One allows you to expand the root partition - follow the instructions on clicking the icon. (I used GParted to expand the partition on my Linux PC desktop: mine happened to be sdc2, yours may be different).

Another will allow you to change your timezone via a Terminal command, and another for a P25 trunking radio scanner using RTL-SDR, which as far as I'm aware isn't a system that's used in Europe (?).

There's also an app for Polarotor control if you happen to use one.

The image has updatelee's kernel modules for updateDVB, happily having my TBS5925 driver (ARM support), something missing in TBS's Linux drivers.

In the /boot/config.txt file find decode_MPG2 to add your MPEG2 license number. Somethng I needed to do in that file was change hdml_drive to 1 to set to DVI drive (I use an HDMI - DVI adaptor for my monitor).

Kudos to DarkSky, who along with the other Linux Gurus at Rick's Wildfeed site, developed this image for the RPi.
