Here's where my version of Sharp tops out, it places the centre frequency at 2.500GHz, a similar test using Airspy has a centre frequency of 2.000GHz. These values must be coded into Sharp as there are no options to set these limits in any of the config files.

Presumably other sources besides RTL-SDR dongles are using SDRSharp config - yet they seem to be able to set frequencies high in the Ku etc's bands :confused

For instance -

The dongle is tuned to the transponder frequency minus the IF frequency so you only need to add 9,750,000 via the shift window if you want to see the frequency the LNB is receiving.

The actual frequency of the dongle doesn't change from whatever it is set to with a zero shift so a typical RTL with sufficient cooling will allow reception of sat signals upto 11.5GHz, I guess if you inserted 22kHz into the feed you could shift the LNB to the higher band.

The E4000 tuner allows higher reception NooElec NESDR XTR+ RTL-SDR USB Receiver Set w/ TCXO, RTL2832U & E4000 2.3GHz UK 616469145819 | eBay

I know that aceb - as I've mentioned earlier, I can't enter appropriate frequencies in either the Shift box or top column frequency box.

Thanks to s-band, I now have a working version of SDR#.

Astra 3B beacon at 11446H I believe. Don't see anything from Es'Hail 2 at present if it's still at 24E.

What was the solution? That looks to be an old version around v1500 but there's no reason for current builds not to work, both 1664 and 1700 are OK on my RTLs.

Looks like Es'Hail 2

It's 1443 but only because that's the one which was easiest to send. I've also used 1665 which works.
It seems strange but maybe Llew can spot a difference in the config or elsewhere.

Yes, as s-band suggests, I'll see if there's any obvious differences in the versions (at least, what my brain can figure out).
You guys are certainly keeping me on my toes, thanks.
