Suffering rugby withdrawal symptoms I just had the unexpected pleasure of watching Georgia beat Russia, in a European sevens championship, on Adjara TV on Hotbird.

Although the crowd was about the same size as Bishop's Stortford might draw on a Sunday friendly, they were hugely enthusiastic and many of them waved the Georgian flag. Now this brought a lump to my throat as their flag is identical to England's, except with the addition of a small red cross in each corner. I may be wrong but I could have sworn that they were singing "swing low sweet char....";) Didn't see any heavy beer drinking though, they haven't quite caught on to the whole purpose of the game, evidently.
