Want to run my sky+ box through my Sony Vario Laptop when abroad.

The laptop has 2 PCMCA slots

3 USB ports (2.0)

is it possible to convert the signal from the Sky box to go through the above ports?

many thanks in advance

Well you could get a USB TV Reciever (like a USB wintv unit) and play your sky box through it, in effect your just making your laptop into a TV screen, but don't forget to take a dish and digital LNB and also ensure your in the Astra footprint !!

I have a hauppauge WintTV2000 USB device. It connects to your sky box via a RF (coax) cable or a S-video cable, and then into your laptop via USB. It works fine on small screen, but for full screen resolution it leaves a lot to be desired. Are there any really good devices for capturing sky digital to watch on a PC or laptop, or is this (the Hauppauge) as good as it gets???????????
