If anyone wants to use the same colour coding, but doesn't know how to use the VB script, just download the attached document and open in word pad, you can then edit it to suit your submission.

ORT - may soon be moving from Sirius to Astra full time

A test transmission is already broadcasting on 19East

The move is apparently to help the coverage of the channel into Central and Southern Europe, and to ease the passage of the broadcast onto German Cable systems

Hi, new boy Rob here. Hope you don't mind me putting my two pence worth in, but have picked up about 24 Russian channels on Sesat/W4 36 East. I was wondering what size dish is needed as I only have a small one ( no jokes please ).

Thanks for reply Channel Hopper, but disappointed that you were unable to find anything.
I have been in touch with "What Satellite & Digital TV" and they thought a 1.5 metre dish would pick these channels up. All I get is "no signal" with my system, so I was surprised and disappointed that you could not find anything.
3.7 metre, you are a big boy !

I think you could be right about some dish,as this morning I was able to pick up LIDER TV from 36 East.
Lider TV is from the former Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan
It is FTA and my picture quality is 68%. For anyone interested the frequency is 12520, Polarity H, and symbol rate of 4340.
They do a very good cookery programme on Sunday morning.

Have just found this on Astra's website. It's not a channel but a Russian weekly programme called "Russian Hour".
It's on Astra 19.2 RTL Luxembourg, 12552, V, 22000 on Sundays 10 to 11am (CET). It's FTA and has English subtitles. It has interview's with the stars, general views on Russian life, and Russian cookery advice etc.
This programme is also on Sky at 10.30 am each Saturday and is also FTA on channel 202.

I mentioned this one end May. All that was on there seemed to be some lecture programme, similar to the Open University, I cannot get the Cyrillic to convert on their website to find out if its changed recently (and my receiver has taken a dive in the past two days)

Think you are right CH, my wife who speaks Russian says it is for schools, colleges, and university's.
Don't sound very entertaining to me.

I have just started to pick up ICTV on Sirius, I know that it has been there for a while, but have never been able to get it before as I always thought that a 1.5 metre dish was needed.
But I am now picking it up with my 70cm, though I must admit that sometimes the picture does break up.
Does someone know if there has been a change with this channel ?

The Ukranian package has always been a strong transponder, the SCPC carriers are however temperamental with certain receivers. No changes I know of, but the signal strength has gone up ever so slightly as a result of cooler weather
