Hey Guys,
first of all i am a novice in satellites. I want to buy a set-top box with dish which can support Russian channels viewing in New Delhi, India. Any one who can guide me or suggest me a propoer vendor who can install the things would be just great. Thanks in advance guys. You can get in touch with me.

There are several Russian channels on Hotbird, but there are many others which may be receivable from India with an appropriate dish, have a look at http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/Russia.html for a list. Being in Delhi, you will have more chance, as you are quite well North. :)

PS. I think that the processor is probably 3Ghz. ;)

Thanks guys U are right It is 3GHz, actualy I do not know howe the processor or my PC is linked to all this as i want to have a receiver with a satellite dish the problem is my wife is a Russian and wants some Russian channels whereas in Delhi both Dish TV and TATA sky do not have any Russian channels. Channels can be any few normal Russian channels nothing of that hotbird type however I wont mind for myself any rated channels but all operators say that I need a huge 6 feet dish for it . Is it the only way or some solution is available. I dont mind spending some money if it is worth it.

You may find that you can receive the channels here with a 1.2m+ dish, but you will need an MPEG4 receiver.

Or here with a 1.2m dish.

We are watching the russian channels for a very opposite reason,that is our wife is not russian.
