S~y card for hotbird

I already use my s#y uk card via the betad file to watch 28deg east.
Can it be used for any s#y chans on hotbird are they not both nds?
Forgive my ignorance on this as i am still fairly new at it.

sky on hotbird is sky italia, if you have an official sky italia card, it would work (possibly!)

a sky UK card will never open a sky Italia channel, and vice versa. A question of keys and encryption methods, even if both are "NDS".
