A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

A charity shop in our local high street is selling these off rather cheaply.

They come in a packet which makes it look like a single item, in fact it is a pair of cables, a short line with earphones on the end of a standard jack, then the other cable with jack socket containing a 'make call' switch, ending in a micro USB.

The earpieces look and sound rather good when connected directly to the jack on the Galaxy A3 mobile, but the microUSB side of things is probably reserved for another device.

So, what are these for ?

One - of the many - in the high street, there must be ten on the road.

I'm assuming some later Samsung phones have OTG enabling, which gives the micro USB headphone support.
