Hello, excuse my ignorance on this subject but i am new to this.

I have just bought a "free to air" system from maplins. Its a Fortec Star system.

I have it all installed and used my sat finder to tune.

At present I am getting 6-7 Hotbird channels, and Astra channels also including BBC1, BBC2 and ITV.

I cannot get channels ITV2, Channel 4 Or Channel 5.

Can you please help me

Hi mark!
I am afraid ITV 2 channel 4 & 5 are not FTA via satellite.:(

ITV 2 is fta, same as ITV 3 and 4.

Cannot comment on ITV2 but C4 & C5 are both definately FTV NOT FTA!

The box is wrong. You CANNOT get Channels 4 & 5 on that box (until 2008 at the earliest)

The ITV channels went clear at the beginning of last November, so can be viewed no problem.

FTA = Free To Air (totally clear)
FTV = Free To View (coded but otherwise free if you have a 20 quid card from Sky - which WILL NOT work in your receiver)
