I picked up a Satellite Finder Kit PG-753 for £2 at a car boot sale the other day. Unfortunately, although the meter seems to work properly, there were no instructions in the box, so I don't know how to operate it. And just what is a decibel? Any suggestions/tutorials gratefully received.

Fairly straightforward Wolsty, connect the unit inline, there is normally an attennuation control on it, turn this until the signal reading or tone is about midway. move the dish until you get an improvement in the reading or a higher tone. every time the reading peaks, adjust the attennuation, move the dish until you can get no more improvement.
