Hi Robbo

Many thanks for setting up my system on the 21st..Been playing with all the buttons & resetting each sat as you suggested. Please can I ask a couple of questions (been looking in the forum for days, cant find the answers) You said some of the TP's need updating I have tried downloading from satellite-xml site but cant seem to update the reciever with this info..Is this something the blind search helps out with...Cant find any info in the manual (its c**p)...Apologies for asking questions here..

Regards Phil

PS...Anyone looking for installer in SE / KENT area ...Robbos yer man

On the TM6800 you can go to the Advanced setup menu, where you can add and delete transponders as much as you want.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The only 6800 I set up last year did have issues with adding frequencies unless a couple were removed from the transponder list

I would carry out a blind search and leave the receiver to do the larger satellites overnight

Yes, if the transponder list is already full, then no more can be added, unless some useless ones are deleted to make room. However performing a blind search will only work if there is space for more transponders in the list, as it adds them where it had found a signal.

With a transponder list that is almost full, performing a blind scan will often exacerbate the problem by adding uneccessary and sometimes repeated transponders to the list.

Personally I would only use blind scan if I was feeling lazy, looking for feeds or a transponder change had not yet been updated on lyngsat, flysat, kingofsat etc.

EDIT, yes, I should have added in my previous post,

as long as there is sufficient transponder memory space available.

There is also the possibilty of clearing out unwanted transponders without having to think too much, by getting rid of H tps on 7W, and any eastern beam tps on 42E for example, as the dish isn't large enough to get them.

Hello,

I am having problems with my spiderbox 7000hd. Last week it failed to connect to the regular cams. It appears to be connecting to internet as I used a trial cam yesterday. However, now it is disconencted from that. What would you suggest? I am based in Lewisham
