Hi experts

I have acquired a second hand minidish and sky digibox. I have put up the dish and adjusted it with a satellite finding meter. When I turn on the receiver the signal strength keeps jumping between nothing and about 50%. Any ideas as to why it may be doing this?

I have installed the dish onto a (scaffolding type) steel pole attached to the back wall (the poll was already there and had an old dish on it – which I have removed as it was totally rusty). I thought the signal loss might be due to the dish being attached to the pole which sways a little (millimetres) when it is quite windy, but surely the dish can’t be that sensitive that it would loose signal any time there is the slightest movement? (or can it?)

Any advice you can give on improving signal strength & quality would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help

Regards

GG
