We have an old satellite dish which is a bit rusty and cannot go up-down but only left-right (west-east). So far, we managed only to have Hotbird, Eutelsat W2 and Astra 1B not not the rest of the satellites. So can you please tell me for which satellites the dish goes only left-right?
For example, when searching for THOR 1,2,3 the dish has to go up but it's stuck! Thanks!

What equipment are you using tosemusic?
I have only experience of fitting one motorised dish and that gradually rises up and down via the shape/design of the dish mount.
Need more info mate.

Yes as Ollie says, see if you can get a couple of pictures of the motor and dish, or at the very least the name and model number of the motor.

I have on a few occasions seen dishes mounted on simple rotators and they will only ever be able to receive three or four satellites well.

Most satellites carrying direct to home TV channels are operating on the Clarke Belt in geosynchronous orbit, so when viewed from a single location, they will be in a declining arc to either side of your due South. If your motor is not designed to follow the curve of the arc (most modern ones are), then you will as I say above be limited to only a few satellites.
