hello,
i have a Technomate 1500ci+,which i am trying to pull in 4 FTA channels
on digital terrestrial with an aerial. i also have a TM5500 which i have no
problems getting these 4 channels.
the problem is on TM1500ci+,when i do a search in auto search,i pick up
5 channels, named data stream 1,2,3,4+5.,although data stream 5 is only
shown in the channel list with the wrong pids,(no audio video message).
if i go into adv search, with signal strength+ quality around 80%,enter
the pids--scan, i get nothing.tried the pids 5 up/down but no difference.
tried blind search which brings in the same 5 channels, but again only one
comes up in the channel list. tried different settings, network search on/off,
fta and scrambled search.it seems the 4 channels come through joined
together as data stream 5.any ideas anybody, please.

A bit confused, are these watchable channels?

Looked at the spec of the receiver and it doesn't mention terrestrial digital.

hi rolfw,
yes they¨re re-transmitted satellite channels.
have no problem at all picking them up
and watching them
with my 5500 dapci.just bought the TM1500ci+
and thought the specifications would be more
or less the same.got a good signal but can¨t
get the channels to appear in channel list after scanning.

Sorry jacko, what do you mean by re-transmitted satellite channels and which multiplex are they in?

they¨re being transmitted on 28 east,
picked up on a big dish 2.4 or bigger,
and then retransmitted on a microwave
system.sorry i don¨t know about the multiplex.
but can pick the signals up with either a
televes dat 45 or a digital log aerial.

Ahhh, right, now I've got you. :) You are not in the UK. :-hammer
Are these encrypted, or do they need some kind of dongle or CAM to receive them?

Not sure what you can change to pull them in, as I haven't played with one of the 1500s. I'm not sure where this thread should be really, as it isn't relevant to this section, but neither does it fit neatly into any other. :confused :)
