39east and 19e when I want to see F1, using a tm1500ci

Currently my FTA system, 60 cm dish, is on 19 degrees and I had no problem finding this using a cheap satellite beeper but despite an hour of trying I cannot get Hotbird. Is this a weaker signal? any tips on locating this satellite? Thanks.

Over a bit to the left as you look at the dish, and up a tad. Literally. The lnb probably needs to move no more than a couple of inches.

Forget about a sat beeper. Set your receiver to an active transponder ie 11018H, 27500, is very strong here. Turn up the volume on you TV. As Analoguesat says, a nudge to the right {from behind the dish} and slightly up. "Bob's your Uncle" you have hotbird.
Also, many people do say that 13*east is weaker than 19*east.
