Long may it continue, if only to spoil the profits of the importers of over priced official cards (still a very grey area)

At least your reply was polite

I have an opinion and so do you.

I don't expect the vulgar abuse I got through one recent private message. None of you will get that from me.

Bradle, I dont think any of the moderators here are jubilant of whats happening. Some fellow posters may or may not be able to legitimately subscribe to many of the offerings on foreign TV, and so the need to get it by alternative means becomes a reason for the underground market existing.

If the various companies buying and selling on programme content used a fairer method for giving everyone the choice of what they wanted, by removal of territorial rights (there really is no reason apart from artificially raising revenue by the virtue of restricting the choice) , and maybe providing a better distribution of content by removal of the 'must have 'channel X, Y and Z just to get a preferred sports channel, then this sort of jubilation might well be dampened down.

You are welcome to your opinion Bradle01, but you are not welcome to spam post it in multiple forums, I have removed the offending duplicate posts. PS, not coincidental that you happen to sell these overpriced subscription cards for s_x channels.

A great percentage of the members here do subscribe to their home providers, I for one do, but cannot legitimately buy subscriptions for these other providers, at least not without using an overpricing intermediary.

PS Why did you join the forum if you dislike the things we discuss?

Paying?????? To whom people should pay. to ruppy and other monopoly giants, that keep expendin and expending and expending while others who try to do something of their own are engulfed by big brothers like him. And thankx to "good" brainwashed people like you that happily with a smilying face and a waving flag purchace a card every six months or a year. You called us Thieves, and I wanna ask you something. " Are you enjoying watching Robin Hood Movie" Before you talk about ethics and morale you need to open your mind first m8. Peace.

I disagree with Bradle01, not because I don't want to pay for products, but because the sky always was free, until the moneymakers steel the free sky from us.

Please explain how it constitutes theft when a UK citizen accesses an encrypted channel to which he is unable to subscribe?

Perhaps if subscriptions were available for all providers across the EU, then there would be a marked reduction in piracy.

I have a query. I am willing to pay for an original Sky Italia card (i.e willing to pay a monthly subscription according to the package chosen) but I do not live in Italy, in fact I live in Malta. Is it possible? I've heard that you have to have a residence in Italy to be able to purchase such a card. I have no interest in pirate cards but there doesn't seem to be much options.

Bradle, you probably have a point. However the subject is much more complex than you have made out and your arguments are obviously slanted to your particular position. And I'm not sure that this is the place to discuss it further, I doubt that you'll convince us of the error of our ways. And as for putting people out of work, I totally disagree - we're creating work! CAMs like Dragons and MRs must pay somebody's wages!

As an aside, I ordered a titanium card at the beginning of January for which I'm still waiting. Yesterday in a fit of annoyance, I ordered one from another supplier who e-mailed this morning to say it had been dispatched. How lucky was that?

Norm.

Will this new hack just let us into Sky Italia, or will it let me get anything like Cyfra+ from Poland or Nova from Greece?

Apologies for my ignorance.

Does anyone know what the processor is on a Titanium card. Is it a Pic or an Amtel chip etc.

Half the reason we hack to get sat tv in my opinion is.....
1. They charge far to much for the channels and extras, especially in Australia
2. Some program material like on I-701 is not permitted to be seen on the Australian subscription. One can buy an official card overseas for all channels but at enormous expense.

If it was $5 to 10/month i'd concider it but whe they charge $50 to $200/month depending what channels you select its just rediculous and they need to get there act into gear.
Can any one comment on prices in UK and how many channels you get for it.

No wonder we do what we do. It's also fun and exersises our brain power as a hobby.
Lets face it these new encryptions would never have been realised if it wasn't for us hey !

Just my say !

Hey Bradle if you are so righteous what are you doing on this site? Spying on good people that unlike you not willing to take all the B.S.

I will never cease to be amazed at the jubilation that surrounds people's discovery that an encryption system can be accessed using products that use allegedly illicit software, and their irritation when a broadcaster does something aout it. Is this a game, or something? Do you all honestly believe that broadcasters and encryption companies aren't doing their level best to stop such mischief in its tracks.

Why buy a Dragon CAM (or anything else of that ilk anyway), when the legitimate Seca CAM works fine (with an official card).

Canal Digitaal has already blocked the use of such hardware, the french and poles won't be far behind.

Only a few days ago a customer came in with a failed Ultra Blue card and what looked like a standard Irdeto 2 CAM. But it had been flashed by the retailer and the customer wasn't even told. So the UB card had failed.

I believe that ANY reference to any product of this type on this or any other website visible or any publication distributed in the EU constitutes a breach of the Conditional Access Directive and the Sale and Supply to Consumers Directive.

And the sooner the users of this forum (and the rest of the world too) realises that every time they access a service without paying for it they are stealing ordinary peoples' jobs from them, the better.
