Hello,

does anyone know how I can change the LNB type in the setup menus?!?
I can't find it anywhere...

I want to change:
LOF/L 09750
LOF/H 10600
Threshold 11700

into:
LOF/L 09750
LOF/H 09750
Threshold 11700

because one of my lnb's is quite old and only supports lowband...
(but can reach 12000 with the 9750 osc...)

thanks.

I could do with the answer as well, to check my LNB is in universal mode.

Cheers

Your LNB is only single band, so no threshold switching is necessary. Would have thought the DB has several LNB options, like most modern receivers.

Check for 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' type (9750 MHz).

In my Triple Dragon, it comes under 'LNB A'.

Yes, it is in expert settings (6).

Go to Service Searching > Satellite Configuration, select an LNB for a satellite.

Then LNB Configuration, you can set LOF/ L and LOF/ H etc.

Hi isn't it odd how suddenly lots of people have the same problem.

My problem started when I did a factory reset. I have loaded new settings file via blue panel, and all programs are now listed, but will not recognise anything over 12000. could it be Gemini 2.6 image?

This is going from bad to worse. My 500 now is receiving frequencies from10834- over 12000. But it doeasn't like some frequencies ie Ab Sat it will not lockon RTL9, Mediasat. But it does work with viaccess card.

could the answer lie in the setting list, I downloaded it from blue panel.

Maybe. You can't get all channels from a satellite (I could be wrong) without perefect reception or a bloody big dish ;)

thanks!! man..
i must be getting blind.. because I never noticed this...
To anyone who needs it:
I'ts the "custom setting" instead of the "4 sat disecq A/B..."...

In fact this IS needed for a single LNB... this way, we can scan almost up to 12ghz with an old (non universal) single frequency LNB!!!
(instead of the previous limit of 11.7Ghz)
so.. disable the 22khz tone for old lnb's...

update: i just noticed that I was mistaken..
in fact havving the 22khz tone on or off in a non-universal lnb is the same...
what needs to be done for a non-universal lnb is to lock the tunner oecilator to 9750.... this is the only way to scan all the way up to 12ghz...
but this CAN'T be done from the menus...
I'll try to hack it from a command line...

I think its just got a shitty tuner.

I can get transponders from the low to high range, but it seems to be some inthe middle. ie I cannot get multivision, when I scan this transponder all the ticks come up to say I am locked on with good signal, but no channels. My Mondeal receives Multivision perfectly. I am beginning to think it must be Gemini or the settings file in that image.

I am going to try different image.
