setting receiver help

hi do i have to set the motor with the frequences then do the chanel search after then store them in. i have stored chanels earler have now lost them think i might be doing somethin wrong i have a humax 2000hd reciver going get a tm1500ci monday thanks guys for all your help what a great site thanks

den123, try to stick to one thread in your quest to set up your Humax and motor. You're all over the place in this section, otherwise it's difficult for you and those trying to help otherwise.

You set your motor with your locality's coordinates using the Diseqc 1.2 or USALS function in the Humax Antenna Menu (before you do any channel searching).

Try to imagine a torch beam coming out of the transponder and shining on the earth, each transponder has a footprint so go to here select your satellite as in here then look for the column called beam and click on the blue name to display that transponders footprint as here for Astra 1G
