Hi Guys

I have a DVBSky S952 setup with 2 fixed dishes (10eKu and 68.5eC)

Im trying to setup CrazyScan as I want to get more detailed signal levels for the 68.5e setup.

I've tried downloading and putting the correct files in the correct places but with no luck

Anyone able to give an idiots guide or help via Teamviewer.

What message(s) are you getting when executing Crazyscan, if any?

Do you have the required QT DLLs in Crazyscan's directory?

You're using the DVB-T/C version of Crazyscan (Crazyscan2).

Use the DVB-S/S2 version (without the '2')

Thanks Chris!
So now have v1.0.2.119 working.

Below is scan, not sure what to make of it

I see others posting what looks like a scatter graph on their screenshots, whats that?

Just looking to see what can be done to improve signal on this 3.8m

Once it has produced the graph, you need to blind scan.

If you use the template (crs) files check the diseqc settings :-)

DVBSky S952 card based on Montage DS3000 chipset with specific closed-source blindscan algorithm. Unfortunately, constellation isn't possible for this chipset. Also carrier search require some frequency band (between min and max freq for search). As far as I remember, by this reason "Carrier search and constellation" dialog window blocked for all Montage-based devices. It would be useless otherwise.
Sorry, but for full features of CrazyScan program you need device based on another chipset.

The TBS 6983 is your best bet. There is an established thread for this card in the link below. It's around the £200 mark from various suppliers including some site sponsors no doubt.

I can highly recommend the tbs6983, it's a twin tuner card. It also has the internal power adapter. But it's around the £200 mark.

Mine came for red apple digital when I had a problem with my old card they were very helpful.
