The cable connections are underneath i.e. facing the ground.

If mine is the correct way round then yours is upside down ;)

yes the cables are facing down.

I thought so lol it seems strange that the number 15 is back to front and the picture is the opposite in the motor manual.

Do you have a pic of yours so I know tomorrow how to put it together correctly?

Your dish bracket is upside down, swap it around, the pivot bolt is always at the top.

Now if you set your motor lattitude to 52 and follow the procedure as earlier posted, you should be able to find 1W and your arc will be correct.

NB: The lattitude setting on the motor body is not negotibale, it has to be set correctly, otherwise the arc will be incorrect.

PS. You don't have to link to photos, you can go into advanced posting and add them as an attachment in the manage attachments section, it is a pain to keep having to open new windows when trying to view a picture.

What I did when I set up my dish
Before I mounted the polar mount made shore I could get the pole level
And I could turn it without upsetting the level.

My Polar mount has the degrees set on it for dish i.e. were its pointing
I just used the default settings of the dish mount

I then set the polar mount up so the dish would be pointing at 1w

And mounted it all on pole and fitted in place so it was pointing south

I put the receiver on kiosk 1 and move the whole mount east west and lowered the polar mount up and down until I found kiosk 1

And locked the pole up

I then tried (without changing anything at dish end) hotbird and found it then 19e found it but couldn’t find 28e

I wet back out to dish and turned the pole 2deg too the east locked it up and tried 28 again it was there but not a strong signal.
So I went and lowered the mount setting two flats of the nut and locked it up
Went back and tried it again the signal had come up so I retried 19e 13e 1w they were all there and good signal but 28 was not as strong as it should be.

I then moved the whole pole 1 deg too the east locked it up once again .

This time 28e 19e 13e 1w were all fine and I tried 5w 8w 18w 30w they were all there

Now it may have been just luck I don’t know but it worked for me

Cheers Jim

had a look at the dish today and put the elevation bracket the right way round! It works fine now!

There seems to be just one problem i cannot get 12.5w for some reason but all others are fine

Hi c.barber
Try 11428H, 30000 on 12.5*W, Opensky Promo. Strength of 80+ and quality of 90+ just down the road from you.
BTW what angle did the dish finish up as, just for interest's sake.
Cheers

Hi c.barber.
Nilesat on 80cm dish is marginal.
Arabsat you should get bet not 80%, you are getting bleed over from the cluster at 28*E. If you have cold mist in your locality both the above will drop out.
