My Satellite Setup
Sky+ at the mo. P4 3.05 17" CRT... YUCK!

Evening all.... Seems a pretty good site you chaps have here SO I'm gonna see if you can help me out with a potential problem.... :-doh!

At the mo I have a standard Sky+ setup and all it good but with the introduction of Freesat and its possible potential Id like to sack Sky off and get Freesat setup. Now I know it will work with an existing Sky dish so all is good there. Now the problem I see is say for instance I have x2 Freesat boxes running, one for the bedroom and one for the living room, I'm recording something on the one in the living room and watching something else on the one in the bedroom is it likely to pump too much juice into the LNB and kill it? With this in mind, is there anyway (If the above would kill the LN:cool: to enable 2 boxes to use the same dual LNB?

Thanks Dusty

LNBs will be quite happy to run as many receivers as their outputs can handle, so if it is a twin LNB, one twin tuner or two single tuner receivers can be used, if it is a quad, then two twin tuner receivers or perhaps one twin tuner and a couple of single tuner receivers can be operated.

The Sky+ box will lose the record functionality if you stop subscribing, unless you pay £10 per month for the privilege, but will get you what is on Freesat at the moment. There will be twin tuner PVRs available with the Freesat EPG, but haven't seen any yet.
