For many years it was quite easy to share Dropbox Public Folder files, but it appears that Dropbox made a lot of subtle changes to the application and that has caused many people a lot of problems, including me yesterday and this morning when trying to post links to info on the WS6906 sat meter. In particular the "Copy Public Link" dropdown function has disappeared (at least from the free versions of Dropbox) - For more info, see this thread on the Dropbox Community forum, and particularly the posts from Rich and dw.s Page 10 which essentially provides the "solution" as shown in the screen shot below.
From the latter I managed to work out the "best" way to do it - You have to highlight the file in question, click on the "Share" button, then on "Create link" and finally "Copy link" in the box that pops up and that should put it on your clipboard (the last step does not always seem to work first time).
