hi just been looking for feeds but couldnt find anything on 10 deg not even the channels onthis sat im using a 80cm dish ,should i be picking anything up with this dish size,and is there much difference between this and a 90cm or 100cm thanks in advance :rolleyes:

I'm in Leeds and I able to obtain a a reasonably strong signal on 10E on my 90cm dish. When I have an 80cm dish, I was still able to get a good signal. You may have a dish alignment problem or else you might have a tree (or something similar) in the way.

thanx for the reply the dish was prof installed dont seem to have probs with other sat did the move from 80 cm to 90cm make much difference in general

Im in south Scotland and dont have any poblems with the broadcast channels on 10E with an 80cm dish.

just started looking for feeds ive got a 80 cm dish and it doesnt seem to find any feeds posted on lyngsat especially 10deg east i relaise that feeds are not always there but i was wondering how much difference a 90 cm or 100cm dish would make any advice appreciated...thanks

Yes it does make a difference, a 100cm dish will noticably outperform an 80cm.

Iwol - you need to remember that feeds are:
1) only there when needed - join a feeds group to find whats active when
2) often transmitted at much lower power than normal broadcasts due to split frequency transponder use (several frequencies are normally being transmitted off a single transponder)
