The 1st day I installed my receiver a about week ago I was able to pick up the above channel on Eutelsat W2. Now I just get a message on the TV screen saying "Service not running or scrambled". I have tried several times searching the frequency for FTA channels and this channel does come up as clear but no joy.

Any info please anybody.

Regards
DI

PS. I'm using a HUMAX IRCI-5400

Sicilia International was on Hotbird (13e) and Eutel2F2(12.5W). Now it is only on Hotbird I believe.

But sat transmissions do hop about a lot. Feeds, tests, cable-distributtion transmissions, etc are all notoriously sporadic.

You need to check current details at a site like Lyngsat or Satcodx (see our links section), and if you want always to be up to date with transponder changes, subscribe to a newsletter. Stefan Hagendorn issues daily newsletters of all such changes in German and English. Get yourself on his mailinglist. It's free!

Thanks for your answer. I think we talking about 2 different channels, the channel I mean is the Portuguese SIC International that broadcasts on EutelsatW2 16E (FTA/RAS), Eutelsat II f2 12.5W (FTA/RAS) and Hispasat 1C 30W (Nagra.

I managed to get some info from a Portuguese web site "www.sat-Portugal.virtualave.net" which says that as long as you have an MPEG-2 compatible receiver capable of receiving SCPC channels you should be able to view this channel from EutelsatW2 and Eutelsat II f2. It does mention something about receivers with certain tuners that have problems with channels with a low Symbol Rate on Eutel.W2 for this channel is I 2894.
I think it also might be something to do with the RAS encryption which I have no idea what it is.

Thanks
Again
