Hi All,
I live in Menorca and have set up my system myself which is;
RECEIVER: Pace DS430N
DISH: 1.3 m
LNB: 3B electronica universal 0,3dB
Cable : Televes T-100plus (ref:2141 0444).
P.S also using a amplifier near LNB

My Signal Strength is 100% all the time but my Quality Strength is only 25%( I have tried all angles with still no luck).

During the day I receive all channels including all BBC and ITV1, 2, 3, 4 but no channel 4.
At about 6ish (pm Spanish time) I start to lose all ITV channels but not ITV1 regional northeast!
At about 9ish (pm) I start to get a very broken up picture on channel 4 getting perfect about an hour or so later!
1.Is this common with the picture lose and gain?
2.How can I get the Quality better?
3.What am I doing wrong.
4. Do you need any more info?
6.Is the receiver compatable with dish & LNB

Any info would be greaaaaaat.
Cheers

I guess you need a bigger dish- if I wrong (likely) someone will be along soon to correct me ;)

Sat installers are using 1.3m dish as standard without problems

Why are you using an amplifier, is the cable run a long one?

Cable is only a few metres, but got amp free with sat metre and I thought it might be better to use it straight.

Dump the amp and see what happens, it is likely causing your low quality readings, also have you tried adjusting the skew of the LNB?

Tried up-down, side -side and skew but to no avail.
The sky was clear with no wind or rain?

If this helps?

The skew will not improve the signal strength, but should affect the quality. Have you tried it without the amp, it really will not help, in fact it shouldn't be there, I noticed that there are a couple of monkeys on ebay who give them as a bonus with sat gear, they obviously know nothing about what they are selling.

Yes I am the chimp or chump that I may have been had and enticed by the sat kit monkey.
The sat meter was ok with the high pitched buzzing to start with but didnt really give info on picture so I reverted to hooking up a portable tv so I could see and then tuned it better using sky.
In fact the best item was the compass but not for 20quid (inc p&p!)

Yes, it all sounds ok. :)

Anyway, a little roof and total darkness should never stop a real enthusiast. ;) :-lmao

You may find that a bit more tweaking and LNB skew now the amp is out of line, could produce dividends. :)

If not, then a little bigger on the dish may be the only answer.
