Takes me back, I was 15 years old and with my family on board a so called cruise ship which looked more like a tug boat in comparison to today's monsters. It was about 3 am in the morning and the fog horn sounded and the captain of the watch came on the tannoy announcing that man had landed on the moon, I just turned over and went back to sleep.

Last night's radio programmes was a very good hour spent, exceedingly clear descriptions of what went on, and what went wrong.

I remember quite vividly I was 21 at that time and on my first ship as a R/Off. We were at Tripoli in Libya and I went to an Italian Hotel
to watch the landing in the hotel's foyer TV. I still remember with elation that momentous moment.

Shot last year, a video with James Burke and Helen Sharman talking about the events 51 years ago, and other.

Best listened to in mono.
