Sirius 3

I can watch most channels on Sirius 3...but if the weather is good, I'm also able to watch DR1, DR2 and 3+ on Sirius 3.
But even if the weather is good, the signal quality gets bad at around 7pm, and then get's good again around midnight. How come?
It happens every time.

Hi Dockerslund, there are known drops in performances at certain times of the day, someone previously has given an explanation of why. With Sirius 3 the minimum dish you should require in the UK is 1.2, but looking at the footprint http://www.nsab.se/ that is really on the small size.

I've got a 1,2 meter dish, and it juuuuuust works out (sometimes).
Where can I read the explanation?

Ok.
But is there any 1,5 meter dish which would work with a STAB HH120 ?
Would it be possible only to buy the dish, and then keep the rest of the stuff (T&K etc.)?

No a Stab (or any Diseqc system) will only run up to a 1.2m and then its past its safely limits

You could revert back to the good old actuator sytem, and convert the signals sent up the cable from your receiver by a DiSEqC to four wire converter

If you intend on moving up a dish size, go for the biggest you can get away with. It pays dividends.

How does it work? Can I still sit in my room and control the dish motor through the receiver? Or are you talking about having 4 LNB heads on the dish?
But if I had 4 LNB's on the dish, I wouldn't be able to watch Thor, Sirius, Astra and Hotbird anyway, right?

I can't go further than 1,5 meter. Unfortunately... :-ohmy(

By Actuator this means it can move, and if the software you have already moves the dish then the larger dish and actuator upgrade will do the same

Going up to 1.5m only is really not worth the additional cost (have you considered demolition or moving ?)
