Ive had an email from a Romanian chap living in Galway in the far west of Ireland asking about reception of the Romanian channels on the FSS beam of Sirius 2. The footprint seems to suggest a 1.2m dish. Can anyone confirm the dish size for the FSS beam way down west??

Don't know if we have too many members that far west, a 1.1 does it from Southern UK, but Western Ireland is considerably further out.

Its going to be a question of trying it. Nobody I know of is out that far West in Ireland.

I suspect a 1.2 is at the small end for recepton of FSS beam

I would reccomend for safe reception a little larger than a 1.2 as Channel hopper also indicates, i would propose a 1.5 to be a little closer during the rain times
