Lots of new things to learn.I have just realized why my avatar is pinned to the bottom corner of martins avatar.It is telling me that I am watching that thread . Also Tivo thanks for the tip about the 'All recent messages' link after clicking whats new.
I was aways scrolling down the forum looking for my last reply.

They sometimes load and sometimes not. It seem *very* slow to load pictures (slower than 56k) but sometimes it's fine. Not sure if it's my interweb but I am not having issues anywhere else

A couple of things I'm curious about ..
For example typing this now ..if I want to add a smiley and select it from a list ...
Where do I find them ?
Also supposing I want want to change the font or colour of my signature ..
How ??

Ok solved a couple of mysteries on my own ..

Should have known..
Now how do I embed a small image in my signature ?

I edited my Signature by typing the BB codes manually..

Used me noggin ..and just ran up Firefox ...
Yep the toolbars are present ..so something in IE has them turned off ??

Have you got rich text editor ticked in preferences.The bar disappears if I untick it.

Just read a reply by a msft tech regarding rich text in IE ..
He says ..don't enable it ..
Its bandwidth intensive and will slow down functionality..
His recommendation ..USE Firefox
lol..
So that's what I'll do if I need to make changes ..and IE for general stuff..
